MATHER, John David - In Loving Memory On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 89.
David was the youngest of the 5 children of his Scottish parents Thomas and Jesse Mather.
Predeceased by brother Leslie and sisters Ruth Mather, Isabel Ellis and Margaret Higginson.
Born in West Toronto, he attended Humberside Collegiate and was a graduate of the University of Toronto.
After a number of years in industry, he was employed by the Etobicoke and City of Toronto school boards.
He retired as a longtime teacher at Western Technical-Commercial School, Toronto.
He was an avid reader with a keen interest in History, a lover of nature, dogs and the outdoors.
Survived and missed by sons Bruce (Zbyszek) of Barcelona, Spain and Glenn (Piotr) of Paris, France, daughter Margaret Reid (Walter) of Calgary and grandchildren Rebecca, Walter Jr. and Samuel.
Honouring David's wishes, there was no funeral.
A tree will be planted by McInnis and Holloway, Chapel of the Bells.
