Mom/PoPo/Mah Mah/TaiPo leaves a wonderful legacy of perseverance, resilience, tenacity, kindness, generosity and family first. She left China at age of 20, immigrated to East Africa (Pemba & Zanzibar) and started her life as a pioneer living in a mud hut with thatched roof; she joined forces with her husband and created a successful home business. She toiled, cared for family and encouraged education.

She migrated to Toronto in 1983, retired but always active with family dinners, gardening and grandchildren. Fiercely independent to the last moment, she has taught us the values of family, love and care. Rest in peace Mom/Popo/MahMah/TaiPo, we will miss you dearly and will celebrate your legacy.

Special thanks to the awesome team at the Freeman Center for Palliative Care, NYGH. Thank you to Dr. Buchman, nurses Tina and Estella (LHIN Central).

Visitation will be held at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, Markham on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021 followed by the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for a donation to the Freeman Center for Palliative care at North York General Hospital or Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation.
