Wyles GeorgeWYLES, George - (November 27, 1955 - August 10, 2021) -

“I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I’m meant to be, THIS IS ME”

George Wyles was a mix of emotions and vivacious sense of humour. He was compassionate, funny, and stubborn.

He tackled life with vigor and unique enthusiasm. He injected energy in everything he did and treated all his relations with acuteness. He enjoyed a good drag show, a cold drink, and good company.

Yet, he was a sensitive creature who cried for the simplest of reasons, a romantic song, a sad poem, a hearty hug, a kiss in a soppy movie, a sentimental soap opera, or a corny conversation.

George laughed for the last time on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at the age of 65, to meet his mom, Marie McCallum, whom he dearly missed since she passed in 2009.

He passed away after his struggle with illness in Humber River hospital, where he had worked for 32 years, with 23 of those years spent supporting the Mental Health & Addictions Program as a Clerical Associate. He is remembered by his colleagues for his wit, humour and little acts of kindness. He was skilled at his role at Humber and took much pride in what he did.

George touched the lives of many people and left behind beautiful memories. Memories that will be shared during the “Celebration of Life” to be held for him at Ward Funeral Home “Weston Chapel” 2035 Weston Road (N. or Lawrence Ave. W.), on Sunday, August 15th between 2 and 4 pm.

George will be missed by John (father), Brenda (stepmother), Derek (Brother), Johaina (sister-in-law), Nigel and Zack (nephews) and their families, Betty Downs (aunt), cousins, and many friends.
