Ford DouglasFORD, Douglas Andrew - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Douglas Andrew Ford on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the age of 93 years at the Brampton Civic Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Douglas was born in Guyana, South America on May 1st, 1928 to the late Florence and Ernest Ford. He was predeceased by his brothers David, John and Norman.

He is survived by his cherished wife Enid, and will be missed by his 3 children, Roger (Suzanne), Philip (former spouse Lisa), and Vanya (Césaire) and his 5 grandchildren, Noah, Liam, Quincy, Vincent and Lillian.

Douglas was a fan of Manchester United, Roger Federer and the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. He loved to read and to work on the Toronto Star’s crossword puzzles.

His wife and children would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the caring and professional medical team at the Brampton Civic Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Arrangements are entrusted with Andrews funeral home. Douglas has been cremated. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private service for the immediate family will be held on August 28, at 1pm at Christ Church Anglican.
