Patterson AdelePATTERSON, Marlene 'Adele' (nee White) - (1934 - 2021) - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Adele Patterson (nee White) on Friday August 13th, 2021.

Beloved wife of John Morley Patterson. Morley and Adele had an exceptionally blessed marriage and family life for over six decades.

Adele will be missed beyond measure by her devoted husband Morley, daughters Kerry (Henry Petrik) and Kimberley (Peter Morrison).

Proud grandmother of Sarah Petrik (Jonathan Hutcheon), Ryan Petrik (Megan), Heather Morrison, Kelly Morrison (Travis Wagner), and Laura Morrison (Zach Waterfield), and three great-grandsons James, Patrick, and Oskar.

Adele was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and loving friend.

She was born in Kincardine, Ontario on September 30, 1934, to Alice (Luttrell) & Albert White and her older sister Yvonne (Louth). She also enjoyed a large extended family, school and church community, and neighbours who were like family.

An extremely bright and gifted student, Adele graduated from Rockway Mennonite School, London Teachers College, Wilfrid Laurier University and The University of Toronto – OISE.

Adele was a very accomplished woman who taught school for many years and enjoyed working with children immensely. She was incredibly artistic, a talented pianist and choir director. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and researching family history. She read voraciously and did community volunteer work for numerous organizations. She was an active member of Willowdale Baptist Church for over 60 years where she was involved in Pioneer Clubs, teaching ESL, and in their Seniors' ministry.

Visitation arrangements are entrusted with Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, Thornhill. Private family funeral to be held and there will be a Burial in Port Elgin, Ontario.

If you choose to donate to a charity in Adele’s memory the Alzheimer Society of York Region – Thornhill Day Program, Samaritan’s Purse Canada – Children’s Heart Project or Willowdale Baptist Church would be appreciated.
