McMillan JoanMcMILLAN, Joan Margaret   -  It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan McMillan, on August 14, 2021, at the age of 92, after a short encounter with cancer.

She was an only child of the late Roy and Phyllis Revoy.

Joan was very independent and lived on her own until being called home by God, in her sleep, with great peace and resignation.

Beloved wife of the late Don (2007), proud mother of 7 children: Paul (Darlene), Brian (Lisa), Nancy, Lynn Vernon (Jim), Don (Debra), John (Mark) and Mary Christian (Kevin).

Joan was the loving grandmother to Ryan and Micheal Panyan, Amanda, Holly, Matthew, Thomas and Zachary McMillan, Maggie and William Vernon and Jack and Sydney Christian.

Joan lived simply and humbly with great thanks for all that God provided.

She had a lasting impression on all who met her.

A woman of strong faith with a special devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Joan enjoyed attending Sunday mass and First Friday adoration at Annunciation parish.

She was an avid viewer of the daily televised mass and prayed the rosary each day.

Joan enjoyed life to its fullest, her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren especially over supper. She enjoyed baking and making sweets for every family celebration.

An extraordinary lover of animals, especially Tammy (the beloved family dog) and owner of many cats over the years.

Joan loved people, travelling and large family gatherings.

Joan was feisty and never shy to express her views on current events and sports.

She was cherished by her family and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass will be held on August 21st at St. John Chrysostom Parish in Newmarket, starting at 9:30 a.m. Rosary and 10:00 a.m. Mass.
