Grant WilliamGRANT, William (Bill) James  -  Passed away peacefully in his 87th year on Sunday, August 15, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington ON.

Bill was born in Toronto, ON. He was a successful student and competitive sportsman at Riverdale Collegiate Institute.

Bill worked diligently for many years at Para Paints before starting his own successful paint manufacturing company, Ideal Paints. He was known for his sense of humour, charm and kindness.

He was very highly respected and loved by his family, friends and colleagues.

Loving husband to his wife Jessie Grant; Adoring father to his sons: Jamie Grant (Tory), Jono Grant (Mary Beth), Chris Tapley (Janine) and daughters: Lynne Fuller (Dean) Angie Grant (Wayne).

Loving grandfather of Joby, James, Robert, Adam, David, Eon, Kimberly, late William Tapley, Riley, Victoria, C.J., Zoë, Brody and Jude. Great-grandfather to Samara, Charlotte, Ella, Josie and Mya.

Beloved brother of late Jerry Grant (Judy).

Beloved uncle of Jordi and Jeff Grant, Penny and Wendy Smith.

Proud owner of Fancy the cat.

Visitation will take place at Smith's Funeral Home, Burlington, on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. There is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance.

For those who wish, donations in memory of Bill to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton/Halton would be sincerely appreciated by the family. R.I.P. Daddy Bil.
