COLLIER, Bruce Anderson - Our beloved Bruce left us peacefully on August 17, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a 20 month battle with Susac Syndrome.
He leaves behind his loved partner, Mike, his ex-spouse and long term best friend, Carol (Bob), his adored children, Scott (Samantha), Allison (Ryan, loving friend Amalee) and John (Austin), his sister and friend-extraordinaire Patty and his brother Bill (Sandy).
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Doug and Jean, his brother John and his prior partner Marc.
Bruce had a career working at a rainbow of banks in the Greater Toronto Area. He had a passion for his cottage, kitchen gadgets, puns, and old TV shows. We will all miss his incredible sense of humour, his intense love for his family and friends, and his adoration for his dog Keira.
We send our sincere thanks to Dr. Rotstein at St Michael’s Hospital, and Dr. Trinos and the entire medical team at Bridgepoint Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they provided Bruce.
Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, ceremonies in honour of Bruce will be held with social distancing regulations in effect. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough on Tuesday August 24, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM with a ceremony to honour his life to commence at 1:00 PM.
