HUTCHINGS, Charles 'Charlie' - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charles “Charlie” Hutchings at the St. Joseph Health Centre on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 76.
Beloved life partner to Helio Da Silva for over 35 years. Dear brother of Margaret in Sydney, Nova Scotia, uncle to Shirley Blundell (Rex) and family, and great-uncle to David and April.
Charlie was a hard-working and caring person who always took the time to enjoy moments in life. Along with his Helio they loved to travel, especially spending winter months in Brazil.
Often young at heart, Charlie looked forward to the Christmas season every year and was like a kid in a candy store with excitement. Although he called Ontario home for many years; he never forgot his roots and was proud of his Bell Island, Newfoundland heritage.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.
A private funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 17th at the Ridley Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Springcreek Cemetery.
