SZEWCZYK, Sophia - With heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Sophia Szewczyk, on August 15, 2021 at the age of 69.
Sophia passed at home after an unfaltering and courageous battle with cancer.
Loving wife of Edward Szewczyk for 48 years. Adored mother of Steven Szewczyk (Christina), Ola Phillips (Kevin), Larysa Wood (Dave). Loving Baba to Alexandra, James, Eddy, Sophia, Veronica and Sebastian.
Mama Sophie, as she was so affectionately called by many, was a wonderful wife, mother, baba, and friend to all. She lived life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The memory of this very special woman will be forever in our hearts.
Remember to smile when you say her name, she would have wanted you to.
Arrangements and livestream funeral details are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel. In keeping with “Sophie’s” wishes, a private cremation will take place.
If you so wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Society of Peel.
