Tersigni PasqualinaTERSIGNI, Pasqualina - Of Tottenham, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, Ontario in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the Late Domenico Tersigni who passed away in 1990.

Loved Mother of Rita Tersigni, Giovanni “John” and wife Lucy and Michele “Mike” and wife Elisa. Loving Grandmother of Jennifer Tricoci and her partner Chris De Simone, Vincenzo Tricoci Jr. and Steven Tricoci, Brittany, Juliana, Alanna and Alex Tersigni. Adored Great Grandmother of Isabella.

Pasqualina is survived by her sister Nicolina Mastropietro, her brother Luigi “Gino” Tuzi, her sisters-in-law Lucia Polsinelli and Maria Tuzi (Di Pede). She is predeceased by her parents Ferdinando Tuzi and Liberata (Di Pede), brother Ireno Tuzi, her brother Anthony Tuzi and her sister-in-law Anamaria Tuzi.

Pasqualina was Born February 22 1933, the daughter of Ferdinando and Liberata (Di Pede) in Balsorano, Province of L’Aquil, Italy. Pasqualina came to Canada on May 4th, 1960 with her Husband Domenico and her 2 children, daughter Rita at the age of 3 years and son Giovanni “John” 18 months. Another son, Michele “Mike” would soon arrive on March 24, 1961.

Pasqualina had to adapt to a new country, new life and a new language, not an easy task for a 28 year old. Pasqualina worked very hard in a factory and eventually was self-employed. She worked well past retirement up to the age of 70 years.

Her husband Domenico passed away at the young age of 60 and she was left to support her family alone. She got her Driver’s License, in those days that was rare for a woman who just came from another country not knowing how to read or speak the language, which she eventually did learn.

In the late 60’s she welcomed four nephews from her husband’s side, as they arrived from Italy to live with her family. She treated them as if they were her own children. She was a selfless woman and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Pasqualina was always there to help anyone she could. She was an amazing cook and pasta maker, she made the best Gnocchi.

In 2010 she battled colon cancer and was on Chemotherapy. Mom was a very strong woman and never complained.

She was a great Daughter, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Arrangements and livestream funeral mass details are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Woodbridge chapel.

Respecting Pasqualina's wishes entombment will be next her husband Domenico at Glendale Memorial Gardens following the funeral mass.
