Schwartz BlabcheSCHWARTZ, Blanche - Our loved, respected and revered mother, matriarch and mentor, Blanche Schwartz, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 the first day of Rosh Hashona.

She will be laid to rest beside her one true love, the late Wilfred "Toots" Schwartz.

She was lovingly and attentively cared for, during the 37 years since Toots' passing, by her four loving children and their spouses: Shloimie & Shaynie, Stanley & Suzanne, Mendl & Pauline & Cindy & Eitan.

Blanche spent her days enjoying a full and active life and was a devoted and loving Bubbie to her sixteen grandchildren as well as an inspiring, positive, and forward-thinking example to her 35 great grandchildren.

She will be sorely missed by her 2 surviving sisters, Bella Goldberg in Israel and Shutsy Heller in New York, and her 2 surviving sisters- in-law in Toronto, Sylvia Schwartz and Sylvia Orzech, may they all live to be 120.

In anticipation of her remaining time, Blanche expressed a loving farewell to all of her cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends far and wide, including those from the Beth Jacob Synagogue where she served as President of the Sisterhood for over 40 years. She also held dearly in her heart the many friends she made at 2 Neptune Drive where she spent her final years.

She lived her whole life utterly defined by all her acts of kindness and unselfish generosity and was truly a "Mitzvah Queen".

Special mention and gratitude is extended to her dedicated and attentive caregivers, Rhoda Sanchez, Marlene Malamnao and Merlinda Sucaldito, the many members of the team from Circle of Care who attended to her at home, her family physician, Dr. Suzanne Karr and the wonderful staff at North York General Hospital and Humber River Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Blanche enjoyed raising funds for the Beth Jacob Synagogue, Bikur Choilim and Hatzolah
