Shephard AlmaSHEPHERD, Alma Irene - With broken hearts and profound sadness, we mourn the sudden passing of Alma, 83, of Brampton, Ontario, on September 7, 2021.

Alma was born June 28, 1938, in New Harbour, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Stewart & Gertrude Sangster. She was the eldest of six children.

In 1955, while living in Halifax, Alma met a handsome navy man, Gilbert James (Shep) Shepherd, of Almonte, Ontario.

They married on March 17, 1956 (St. Patrick’s Day) and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary earlier this year.

Together, with their five children, they moved from coast to coast, wherever Shep was stationed.

The joy of Alma’s life was her family. In the early years, she was the glue that held the family together while Shep pursued his 30-year military career.

Alma was a generous and kind-hearted person; she was loved by all who met her. There are so many wonderful memories of this beautiful woman - she will be terribly missed…

To the Moon & Back a Million Times…

Many Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins…
