Morgan KyaMORGAN, Kya - Kya Morgan, a sweet baby girl who was born in Toronto on November 11th, 2020, to Kimberley Hewitt and Conwards Morgan.

A beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and cousin who passed away far too soon on September 5, 2021, at the Hospital for Sick Children following a valiant battle with multiple congenital heart defects and Alagille syndrome.

Those who knew Kya have lost a bright light in their life, as she is adored beyond measures both on earth and in heaven.

Kya’s days consisted of blowing raspberries, listening to music, rolling over and sitting up, reading books, and watching CocoMelon. She'd splash around in the tub, then try to catch the water in the shower. Her favourite pastimes were morning cuddles and evening walks through the park. It’s no surprise that her favourable word was "ma," because she shared an unbreakable bond with her mother that could stop time and light up her beautiful face. She liked to be pampered by her three older sisters and would always persuade them to do anything she demanded.

Kya's smile could brighten anyone's day or light up a room, but it was her determination to fight even on the darkest days that made this 9-month-old warrior shine the most.

Kya will be missed everyday by her mother Kimberley Hewitt, her father Conwards Morgan, her sisters Kaleena, Kamia and Kiara, her grandparents, and her loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many great friends. Kya is preceded in death by her older sister, Katrina Hewitt-Muir, who similarly lost her courageous battle to a complex congenital heart condition and Alagille Syndrome.

When you think of Kya, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

“Kya – your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measures."

Arrangements entrusted with Andrews funeral home, Brampton.
