MacPHERSON, Susan Graham Macpherson - 77, of Peterborough, died peacefully in hospital on January 3, 2024, surrounded by family.
Susan loved bowling, and the eff word, swearing in general, and calling people unpublishable names.
If she called you one of these things, though, there was a pretty good chance she loved you a lot. She loved smoking weed. She loved Sudoku.
She loved John Prine, and music in general. She loved drinking coffee, smoking cigs and shooting the breeze.
Susan identified as an outsider, and once said that she was used to people not liking her. We hope that at some point, she realized how completely inaccurate that feeling was.
If there's anyone on earth who was loved, it was Susan. Perhaps it was her outsider status that enabled her to be so kind and compassionate toward anyone she met.
In fact, we can't recall her ever saying a genuinely unkind word about anyone (even the a-holes). We'll love and miss you always.
Susan is survived by her husband, Bruce; son, Cluny; daughter, Isla (Jake); granddaughters, Hazel, Delia, and Olive; and brother, Graham (Ann).
A celebration of Susan's life will be held at a later date.
