KOECHLIN, Elizabeth  - Brenda passed away peacefully on a beautiful sunny morning, Monday March 11th, surrounded by love.

Her life was one full of colour both through her experiences and the art she lovingly created.

Born in England she enjoyed her early life in the countryside where she spent time with her beloved pony, Mack.

As a young girl she attended Saint Felix School in Suffolk before going on to the Clarendon School for Girls and then later to the Norwich School of the Arts where she developed her artistic craft.

In October, 1953, she immigrated to Canada, to join her first husband, with her daughter, Penelope, arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax. She settled in Toronto where her second child, Hazel, was born. Brenda was an animal lover having horses, dogs and cats always around making her house a home.

The beautiful art she created over the course of her life is a lasting reminder of the admiration she had for the natural world.

Brenda's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, but especially by her husband, Goetz Koechlin; her daughters, Penelope Stevens (David); Hazel Milne (John) and grandchildren, Jane Stevens (Anthony); John Stevens (Gabrielle); David Stevens (Ali); Tom Stevens; Heather Milne (Grant); Stewart Milne (Vanessa) and Wendy Milne (Rahel). A private family service was held on Thursday March 14th, 2024.

In lieu of flowers please consider donations to your local animal shelter.
