Leo GaetanoLEO, Gaetano "Tom"  - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Leo on Thursday, March 21, 2024, six months shy of his 70th birthday.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Barbara (née Paonessa); cherished father of Joanne (Dominique); and grandfather of precious grandson, Gabriel.

Tom leaves behind his loving sister, Franca; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tom began his career as a French teacher at St. Michael's College School.

For the majority of his career he taught French, and later became a guidance counsellor at Don Bosco Secondary School. Tom was a gentle, kind and passionate man, who made his family, friends, colleagues and students feel loved and important. He will be dearly missed by everyone.

The family will receive friends at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Tuesday, April 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road, on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Diabetes Canada.
