BLANCHER, Clare Frederick Blancher   -  Passed peacefully from this life on April 11, 2024, keeping strength and will positive until his final moments.

Clare was born April 4, 1945 in London ON into a family of 11 siblings.

He was known to love nature. People would often see him walking or sitting in the park watching the squirrels play while reading.

He was supported by his loving family during the last days of his life, and he always let them know they were his greatest achievements.

A special thank you to his niece Sherry (Blancher) Bell for her unwavering care and support that she provided to him and the family, especially during his final years.

He expressed his utmost gratitude for her company, friendship, and would say she’s the daughter he never had. They jokingly referred to each other as “partners in crime”.

He is now reunited with his eldest son Brandon, who also sadly passed, unexpectedly, under a year ago. Clare is survived by his children Vaughan (Sidra), Jordan (Ashley), and Cameron (Jess).

Grandfather to Jessica, Austin, Kaitlinn, Bronwyn, Savanna, Cassandra, Jaxon and great grandfather to Parker.

He will be dearly missed by his siblings, nieces and nephews and his longtime friend Andre.

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Orchard Villa Retirement Home (Ottawa wing) for their care and friendship shown to Clare.

Respecting his wishes, there will be no funeral but rather a private family gathering at a later date .
