KING, Allan Roy  - Passed away peacefully in his 94th year on Monday, February 5, 2018.

Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Jean King.

Loving father of Douglas (Mary) and Gregory (Linda) and loving grandfather of Ryan, Allison, Laura, Christine and Sarah.

Born in Boissevain, Manitoba, November 19, 1924. As a young man he joined the RCAF, becoming an Air Gunner and serving in India and Burma during the Second World War.

He was long associated with the "Burma Bombers" a group of retired War Veterans. Allan spent 40 years in education serving as Principal of a number of Etobicoke schools. He was an avid curler and longtime member of Dixie Curling Club.

In retirement he travelled extensively and enjoyed family and life.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Brenda, Cristina, Fely, Aimee, Sandy and Andrew for their outstanding care.

Visitation at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. Etobicoke, on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2 p.m. followed by a Service of Remembrance at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 643 (formerly Branch 210) Poppy Fund or Sleeping Children Around the World.
