HOBBS, Joan Louise  - July 18, 1934 - March 22, 2018

Our hearts are broken beyond words as we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mom and grandmother at her Shoreview Residence.

Wife of the late James Hobbs (2006) and survived by her loving children Allan (Robin Williams), Sherri (Paul Berneche) and Penny (Frank Catenacci) and the late Christopher.

Dearest Nana of Sarah and Laura Berneche and Christina and Mikaila Catenacci. Loving sister of the late Rose and Herb Piper and Shirley Bagley and survived by her brothers Mark and Claire Fox.

Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and most loved by Craig and Denise Piper, Rick and Linda Suy, Jack and Lisa Baynham, Sue and Mitch Taylor, Karen Baynham and Tom. She is also loved by her many adopted kids Diane and Mike, Debbie, Sylvia and Allen, Angie and so many others. J

oan worked at Sears in the cosmetic and fragrance department for 37 years and retired at the age of 72 and always took great pride in her appearance. She dabbled in tarot cards and astrology and enjoyed sharing her advice with everyone.

Mom loved her family and friends above all else. The last couple of years, as her health declined, she fought with all she had. Her time at Shoreview brought her many new friends and we are truly grateful for the wonderful care she received.

Visiting Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday, 10 a.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Interment to follow.

If you so desire, donations to the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
