McCurdy DonMcCURDY, Don  - June 3, 1950 - March 13, 2018

Family members are saddened to announce the passing of Don (Donald Paul) McCurdy, 67, in his home, due to cardiac arrest.

A diabetic since youth, Don lived a productive life without compromise, while privately and courageously enduring mounting health complications without complaint.

A champion of professional news reporting in Ontario and across Canada, his passion for journalism was tempered only by his humility and pragmatism, as he generously devoted his time and enthusiastically contributed his expertise with integrity and sensitivity.

Don is survived by his loving children Michael and Erin, siblings Peter, Catherine, Constance, Joan, Sharon, John and Carol, and was predeceased by his brothers David and Patrick and parents James and Barbara McCurdy (nee Palubeski).

Charitable donations in Don's name to Diabetes Canada, The Kidney Foundation and/or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.

A celebration of Don's life will take place at a later date.
