HUMPHREY, Elsie - August 14, 1922 – February 14, 2020
Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Christie Gardens, Toronto on Friday, February 14, 2020 in her 98th year.
Loving mother of Gordon (Carolyn), Kathryn and Linnea (Glenn).
Active grandmother of Crystal (Andi), Stephen, Seija and Lachlann.
Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Born in Neepawa, Manitoba, Elsie was raised in Kenora, Ontario.
She was a graduate of Peterborough Civic Hospital School of Nursing (’48).
A long-time resident of Dryden, Ontario, Elsie moved to Port Perry in 2003, where she was an active member of the Port Perry United Church, an avid gardener and found fulfillment in making her grandchildren lunches everyday. In 2010, Elsie moved to Christie Gardens, Toronto.
In keeping with Elsie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
A graveside service will take place at a later date in Dunnville, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to the Port Perry United Church, the Stephen Lewis Foundation or the Council of Canadians.
