PIERSON, Cora Lucille - (August 2, 1923 – April 28, 2021)
Peacefully on April 28th, 2021, Lucille passed away at Extendicare Oshawa in her 98th year.
Born in Darlington Township on August 2nd, 1923 Lucille was the daughter of Edward and Bert (Alberta) Wade.
Predeceased by her husband William Cecil Pierson in 2002, Lucille is survived by her daughter Gaye and son-in-law Greg Thrasher, son Kenneth Pierson and daughter-in-law Margaret.
She will be very missed by her grandchildren Lauren and Dave Perry, Brittney and Steve Tillaart, Brooke Pierson, Sarah Thrasher and Michael Menard as well as her great-grandchildren Christopher, Lainey, Caiden, Beau and Cam.
Lucille was the last surviving member of the eight Wade family children. She was predeceased by sisters May Rutter, Norma Short, Evelyn Sweetman, Doris Cole, Irma Hardy and brothers William and Charles.
A former longtime employee of Roy Nichols Motors – Bowmanville/Courtice, Lucille was a Life Member of Harmony United Church and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 Oshawa.
Lucille will be remembered for her life-long volunteering and the many friendships she made throughout her life.
Our Ma/Nana was the best and will be lovingly remembered by us all. We are so lucky to have had her in our lives for so long.
Donations in her memory may be made to Ebenezer United Church, The Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME .
A private family service will be held due to Covid-19 restrictions.
