BANKS, George Russell - (Retired from the RCNVR 1943 - 1945) December 24, 1923 – April 23, 2021
George passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Hillsdale Terrace, Oshawa, in his 98th year.
George was the beloved husband for 59 years of the late Joyce Banks (nee Brothers).
Loving father of his two sons, Geoffrey (Mabel) and the late Brian (survived by Catherine).
Loved grandfather of Jessica, Caitlyn and Tyler. Dear brother of the late Lionel, Harold and Muriel Clayton.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service and interment was held.
In memory of George, donations to the Alzheimer Society – Durham Region, would be appreciated by the family.
