CREED, Helen - 1920 - 2018 On August 29, 2018, our dear Helen, great-grandmother and intrepid spirit, died peacefully at Kensington Gardens surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Birch River, Manitoba, she met Donald Creed, a geologist playing trombone in a dance band, in Flin Flon.
They married and after the war adopted Robert.
Four years later, following radical cancer treatments and a pregnancy undetected, Donna was born.
They lived in Ottawa and Portage La Prairie before settling in Saskatoon.
Widowed in '91, she moved to Ontario, first Guelph then Toronto, to live with her daughter.
Predeceased by siblings Ada, Frank, Aubrey and son Robert, she leaves her daughter Donna (Oliver), sister-in-law Colleen Norquay, nephews Ken, Doug and Robert Norquay, nieces Barbara and Susan Norquay (Joe), grandchildren Katie Beaulieu and James Cardinal (Lisa), great-grandchildren Jasper, Torrie, Nicholas and Jacob.
Her ashes will be interred with her husband in Netherhill Cemetery, Kindersley, Saskatchewan. Donations to The Kensington Health Foundation, Toronto.
