Truman KentTRUMAN, Kent Wilfred  -  (July 16, 1941 – April 15, 2019)  -  On Monday, April 15, 2019, Kent Wilfred Truman, 'Bones', passed away at the age of 77.

Born at home in Toronto’s west end on July 16, 1941, to parents Wilfred and Ann Truman, Kent was known for his quick-witted sense of humour and love for playful practical jokes.

In 1967 Kent was initiated into local 411 where he spent 30 years as a city of York firefighter. In 1987 he was awarded a medal for exemplary service.

Kent had a passion for the outdoors, specifically fishing and his cottage on Lake Nipissing. There was nothing he valued more than his family; he was incredible at making a room full of people laugh until they cried and he cooked a mean turkey dinner.

Taken from us tragically, he leaves behind, his spouse and best friend Annie, his Children Jennifer (Ian 'Buzz'), Chris (Carina), Kyle, stepchildren Whitney (Kent) and Kelsey (Nick), grandchildren Brittany (Kevin), Tanja, Corson, Rowan, and Norah.

Survived by siblings Murray (Beverly, deceased), Wayne (Maureen) and Gary (Anne), predeceased by his sister Dorothy (Doug). We will all miss him dearly. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road, Weston, ON, on Tuesday, April 23rd, from 6pm to 9pm. Service will be held at the funeral home, on Wednesday, April 24th, at 11am.

Donations can be made in Kent's memory to Victim Services or Ontario Wildlife.
