BOWLES, Frank George - April 26, 1927 – June 8, 2022
Passed peacefully, June 8, 2022, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Ontario, at the age of 95.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce (2014); his son, Dr. Lawrence Bowles (1988); brother, Ernie; and sisters, Ella and Irene.
He will be missed by his daughter, Catherine (Ken); and son, Bill (Cheryl).
He was Papa and/or Grampa to Christopher (Samantha), Blake (Joo Ae), Danny (Janet), David (Tamara), Taylor and Adam (Breanne) and his 10 great-grandchildren.
Frank was extremely proud and thankful for the 44 years he spent at the The Northern Miner/Norgraphics in Toronto and Vancouver.
He started his career at The Northern Miner in the mailroom and worked his way through the different departments and eventually relocated his family to Vancouver to open and run The Western Miner.
He eventually headed back to Toronto to the head office to finish his career as President / CEO. He loved all sports and learned and loved to play tennis.
He enjoyed reminiscing about the "old days" on the Danforth and always had lots of stories to tell. His family feels fortunate to have had him so healthy and active to the wonderful young age of 95.
