RITCHIE, Donald - Passed peacefully, with loved ones by his side, on October 17, 2022, at the age of 96.
Don was predeceased by Burge (Wilma), his loving wife of 71 years, and his siblings, Frank and Margaret Louise.
He leaves behind his children, Susan and Ian; his granddaughters, Liza, Bronwyn and Jenna; and his much-loved nieces and nephews.
Don graduated from the University of Toronto's Engineering Physics Program in 1948, and then completed a Master's degree in Physics.
Don was a pianist, a composer, a lover of classical music, a gardener, a chef, a reader and a winemaker. He was recognized by Volunteer Ottawa for his community contributions through his significant volunteer work with Ottawa Chamberfest.
Don and his family were grateful for the warm care of Toronto's Annex Retirement Residence Staff.
At his request, there will be no Service. To remember him, donations to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be appreciated.
