FERRIS, Donald William - September 20, 1930 - November 29, 2022
Don passed peacefully, at 92 years old at St. Mike's Hospital following a stroke.
Mourned by his wife, Grace; daughter, Erin; son-in-law, Leigh Smout; grandchildren, Kira, Lane and Byrne Smout, Charmaine Ponce, and William Ferris; and by his many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by his beloved son, Carl Ferris.
Don enjoyed a long career in the newspaper business, loved singing barbershop for over 60 years, and spending time with his family and at the cottage.
A remarkable person with curiousity and a thirst for knowledge, an amazing cartoonist and filled with kindness.
He made friends with anyone he met and was a loving friend, husband, dad and "Pops."
Don will be missed by all who knew him. Celebration of Don's Life at Balmy Beach Club, 360 Lake Front (foot of Beech Ave.), Toronto, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022.
