PACE, Joseph John Pace - The Family of Joseph John Pace who was born on July 11, 1946 in Malta, is sad to announce his passing in his 78th year in the early morning hours of November 7, 2023 at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry.

 

His soulmate and loving wife, Sharon (nee Thompson) of 56 years was by his side and his loving daughter, Lori Johnson (Hayden) was hugging her Dad as he made his way to Heaven, Joe was sent off with an Honour Guard Tribute at Oak Ridges Hospice.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Salvu (1962) and Jane Pace (2008), their infant son, Ronald Joseph Pace (1968) and their precious daughter Melissa Diana Murphy (Pace) (2008),(Roger Murphy).

 

Beloved brother of Charlie Pace (Mary) and predeceased by his sister, Mary Hooper and Brother Mike Pace.
Cherished Papa of Brianna Pace (Anton), Jade and Jasmine, Dehaugton Joseph Pace (Annette) and Dehaugton
Joseph Pace Jr., Tonisha Pace (Nevieh), Joseph Pace, Janelle Pace (Ava, Leah and Olivia), Bradey Murphy. Special
Papa to Noah, Addison and Benjamin Samaroo.

 

Proud Godfather of Brian, Jason, Johnny, Dawn-Marie, Robert and Matthew. Caring son-in-law of the late Murray and Muriel Thompson. Brother-in Law of Judy Hartwig (late Garwin), Brenda Thompson and the late Liz Thompson.

 

Loved Uncle of Brian Pace (and family), Michael Pace, Raina Thompson (Jay), Jason and Aaron Chmelowsky. The family is very thankful for all of the care and support by Joe's care team and especially his favourite PSW and friend Michael Harrison.

 

Joe worked at General Motors North Plant for 41 years; he was a Ham Radio operator and built and flew model airplanes. 


Public visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby at 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Service will follow at 2:30 pm at Mount Lawn Funeral Home. Interment  MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society or the Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry. Thank you for your support during this time.
