WILLIAMS, George Albert - 1942 - 2021 On Saturday, October 30, 2021, George Albert Williams passed away at the age of 79 in Scarborough, Ontario.
George was the cherised son the late Jimmy and Caroline Hayter, of Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
George will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Sally, his two sons: Thomas of California, and John of Scarborough, and daughter-in-law Urzula Tomczak of California.
He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Margaret Foster of Cobourg, Ontario.
George will be remembered for his love of his family. Cremation has taken place.

McKENDRY, Norman Keith "Spike" - Peacefully in his sleep at Riverdale Terrace on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
He was in his 84th year. In 1949, when he turned 13, he joined the Musicians' Union; (over the years it's said that he was the youngest member to ever join the Union).
Also in 1949, he joined the Air Cadet Marching Band and later the SD&G Pipe Band.
Spike had been a fixture on the Montreal and Toronto jazz scene for many years.
He performed in many jazz bands including with the Expo '67 Orchestra, CBC Orchestra (toured in Germany), he has been recorded on an a jazz album with Sadik Hakim and played in countless nightclubs including the Montreal Playboy Club 1967-1975.

COUNTRYMAN, Mary Elizabeth - October 2, 1918 - October 30, 2021
Mary was born to Percy and Pearl (Diment) Kerr on October 2, 1918 during the second wave of the 1918 "Spanish" Flu epidemic.
The attending nurse was sick with the flu by evening and died before morning and the doctor was a patient before breakfast.
Newborn Mary was sent home with the prediction that she would not survive the month.
Instead she lived a very healthy life and just celebrated her 103rd birthday at home, determined, strong willed and feisty to the end.

MURRAY, Daniel Guerrino - It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Daniel on October 30, 2021.
Dear son to Bonnie and Paul.
Daniel is survived by his son Joseph, and his siblings Kassidy-Rae, Helder-Junior, Sonny, and Jupiter.
Daniel will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and blessed extended family.

GAFNEY, Kitty Margaret - 100, passed away peacefully at Leaside Retirement Residence, East York on October 30, 2021.
Born on August 18, 1921 in Enfield, England, she was the elder daughter of the late Alfred & Christina (Cooke) Gafney.
During WWII she relocated with her parents and sister to Harrogate, England.
The family first moved to Toronto in 1949. After a brief move to Coolangatta, Australia they returned to Toronto.
Until recently Kitty lived on Four Oaks Gate in East York.

SMIDT, Elga (née BLACHINS) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Elga on October 30, 2021, at the Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga, at age 92, after years of declining health.
Predeceased by: her parents, older brother and sister-in-law, and John, her loving and devoted husband of 64 years. Together, Elga and John enjoyed a long, happy life filled with many wonderful trips that they both treasured.
Proud and caring mother to son Peter (Brenda) and daughter Susan Climo (Chris).
Will be lovingly remembered by her family, former colleagues at the T. Eaton Company in Montreal (where she worked for many years), and all who knew her.
Special thanks to all the compassionate caregivers who supported Elga through many years.

GONZALEZ, Concepcion “Conchita” - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Concepcion, peacefully in hospital on Saturday, October 30, 2021. We take solace in knowing that she was at peace, and that she was surrounded by the love and kindness of her surviving son, Milé Komlen.
Conchita was born in 1926 in Granada, Spain, the middle sibling of three, and came to Canada by sea in 1965, landing at Pier 21 in Halifax. She soon arrived in Montreal where she worked briefly at McGill University. With big dreams and strong determination, she moved to Toronto where she met Milé’s father while working at Toronto General Hospital. She then worked for years as a domestic worker and was graciously regarded as part of the generous families with whom she worked.

PACE, Clarence William Munro - February 19, 1939 - October 30, 2021
Clarence died from complications due to lymphoma, on October 30, 2021, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
Devoted to his wife Mary (deceased August 31, 2021), Clare dedicated himself to caring for Mary during her final years of ill health, the culmination of sixty-one years of marriage. He was born in Nova Scotia and never forgot his Maritime roots or love of the sea.
He was a loving father to Munro, Andrew, Merala (spouse of Fiona), and Philip (husband of Chad), and grandfather of three grandchildren, Tyler, Quinn (partner of Julia), and Pace.
Music constituted a significant aspect of Clare's life both as a participant and a devotee.

LEE, Yuk Ping 'Allana' (nee Chiu) 李趙玉娉夫人 - It is with heartfelt sadness that we share with you, that our beloved Mrs. Yuk Ping “Allana” Lee (nee Chiu) passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family at home on Friday, October 29, 2021.
“Ah-Yuk” (as her family fondly called her) quietly fought a courageous battle with colon cancer after being diagnosed just four short weeks ago.
Born on February 9, 1941 in Xinhui, Guangdong to the late parents: Bing Chou Chiu and Sheung Sitt, Ah-Yuk will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of over 52 years Kwan Sum “Peter” Lee and her cherished daughters May & Yuet Lee, son Paul Lee, and adored-by grandsons Spencer & Devin Lee Khan. Ah-Yuk is also survived by her dear brother Michael Hong, and sisters May Chiu & Kelly Young.

Sister Marie was born to Arthur Joseph Tremblay and Yvonne Laffoley.
Sister Marie was predeceased by her parents and sisters Irene Burgess, Audrey Grant and Cecile Van Ness. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Anne Reda (Larry), brother-in-law Ralph Van Ness from North Vancouver, and her brother Maurice Tremblay from Port Renfrew B.C.

EBY, Karen Lynn (nee Chambers) - (March 4, 1945 to October 29, 2021) - Karen died suddenly at her home on Friday, October 29, 2021.
She is survived by her beloved husband Tom, sister Sandra Moos and brother-in-law Rob Moos, as well other family members.
Karen was born in Toronto, the daughter of Len and Ethel Chambers. She attended Bathurst Heights Secondary School in North York. Growing up she spent quality time with her family at their Blackstone Lake cottage. After graduation she got a job as a secretary at mining company Rio Algom.
She decided she could improve her lot and made a decision to pursue a career in accounting. Subsequently she articled at Dunwoody, an accounting firm, and achieved her Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

KOHUT, Maria (Mary) (nee Harasymchuk) - Peacefully at Ivan Franko Home, Toronto, on October 29th, 2021, at the age of 96.
Maria was born on August 4,1925 in Rosa, Manitoba, the second of seven children born to Fedor and Wasylyna. The family moved to Toronto in 1937 and lived on Draper St., where Maria lived up until a few years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wasyl (William), her son Walter, and her brothers and sisters. Maria will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Katherine (nee Pidzamecky) and her grandchildren Paul (Viola) and Hanya (Yuri), as well as her nieces, nephews and her sisters-in-law.
