DeLEO, Franco - (1946 - 2021) -
On Monday May 10th, 2021, before the new day’s dawn broke, Franco DeLeo, beloved husband, father, nonno, and brother lost his fight to cancer. Though his body was frail and tired, his mind and spirit were as sharp (and stubborn!) as always.
Franco was born in 1946 in Siderno Marina, Reggio Calabria, Italy. Though he immigrated to Canada in 1959 with his parents and siblings, Franco always kept his “old school” mentality. The most important aspects in life to him were respect and family.

WORDEN, O'Rissa Mary (Hudson) - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother O’Rissa, peacefully on Monday, May 10th, 2021 at the wonderful age of 98.
Mom was our mother, friend, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, great-aunt.
She was predeceased by her husband Stephen Worden and son Grant Worden, her parents Thomas Hudson (Noble) and Mary Catherine (Tess) McAllister, her brothers and sisters, Duthie & Lance, Mary, Charlotte, Donald, Pelo & Fleurette, Alex & Del, Thomas & Terese, Wilf, Brian, Robert.
Survived by her children, Ann & Steve Nazarec and Leigh & Jerry King. Also her grandchildren Brock & Lauren, Kaitlyn and Eric & Schae-Lynn, Danielle & Faisal, Dara & Eric, Deanna & Jacob. Great-granddaughters forever in her heart are Marcy and Swayzie. And we cannot forget Jasper.

VANDER KOOIJ, Gwendolyn Elaine 'Gwen' - (1964 - 2021) - Gwendolyn Elaine Vander Kooij died peacefully at Mt. Sinai Hospital on May 10, 2021.
She is survived by her parents, Leni (nee Posthumus) and Peter Vander Kooij, and her siblings Cynthia (Wally Boonstra) Vander Kooij, Andrea Vander Kooij, and Peter John (Lisa) Vander Kooij.
Gwen was blessed to have two families who loved her deeply and worked together to support her. Gwen received 40 years of loving care and family life with Riky and Martin Veens, and Michael (Jenn) Veens, (Evan and Nathan), Melissa (Joel) Snider, (Levi, Owen, and Naomi) Joshua (Esther) Veens, (Jude, Wihla, and Marlowe) and Jonathan (Taylor) Veens.

GAUDET, Elizabeth - (1934 - 2021) - Elizabeth passed peacefully on May 10, 2021 with family by her side.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Elisabeth (Lisa), Loretta (Lynn), Laura (Peewee), and Emil (Jackie). She often thought of her sons Brian and Ricky.
Loving Grandmother to Kasandra, Ashleigh, Alyssa, Andrea and Jason, Ryan and Krysta in Newfoundland. Adoring Great-Grandmother to Tatijiana, Taevyn, Ashtin, Treyshaun, Camari, Thomas John (TJ), Amelia, Iris, Jayce, Zoe, Sarah, Alexander and Liam.
Elizabeth was predeceased by daughter Christine and son Malcolm.

PATERSON, Sheila (Bimson) - It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Sheila suddenly in the
comforts of home on May 10, 2021.
Sheila leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Don. Loving mother of Susan (Peter) and David (Tami). Sheila was a proud Nanny to Elizabeth, Christopher, Kathryn, Noah and Brock.
In her lifetime, she was the proud mommy and Nanny to her many fur babies. She was a sister to her loving siblings Elizabeth (Beth) and her late brothers Jimmy and Norman. She was a caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Born in Verdun, Montreal in 1943, Nanny met Don at CP Rail and began their family. After moving to Toronto in 1978 (and converting to a Leafs fan), she and Don built a life full of joy. Sheila ws a dedicated employee of Atlantic Packaging for many years.

Ronald was born January 2nd, 1962 to Rodrigo Sr. and Rosita Buluran in Orani, Bataan, Philippines. He is the oldest of three children.
He graduated high school at Don Bosco Technical School in Metro Manila.
He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Electrical Engineering and passed the board exam afterwards.

BROWN, Alan Foster - On Monday, May 10, 2021, Alan died peacefully in St. Thomas, ON, after several years of battling COPD.
Alan, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on June 30, 1954 to Duncan and Margaret Brown, immigrated to Canada with his family in 1963.
He is predeceased by his beloved parents and by his siblings, Duncan and Lesley.
Alan is survived by his four children, David, Jennifer, Christopher, and Gabrielle.
Alan graduated from the University of Toronto Law School and spent his career at Blakes law firm. He started as an articling student in 1979 and became a partner in 1987.

GILES, Douglas John - After a battle with multiple illnesses, Doug passed away honourably and peacefully on May 10, 2021 at Lakeridge Hospital in Ajax, Ontario.
Sometimes you travel down the road of life looking down at that little piece of broken glass every day, not realizing you were looking at a diamond all along.
Douglas John Giles was that diamond to everyone he met.
He was humble and simple like that broken piece of glass but he turned everyone that interacted with him into a diamond.
