RATTLE, William Donald - 1925-2021 -Dad passed away in his sleep in the early hours on March 26. 2021 in Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, after living a full and wonderful life.
He was born to James Rattle and Jessie Milroy on January 7 1925, and grew up in Milliken, Ontario.
He joined the Royal Canadian Airforce at the age of 18 where he spent two years in England serving during the Second World War as part of a ground crew in the 4th Bomber Command.
Being colour blind, he was prevented from learning to fly, so he worked on repairing or rebuilding Avro Lancaster airplanes that returned after bombing raids.

Like many Ukrainian immigrants her age, she grew up under communism; lived through the “Holodomr” of the early 30s; continued to thrive into World War II and then found herself in a work camp in Germany.
Liberation offered her an opportunity to come to Canada, where her life has experienced many sweet Cherries with only the occasional of Vwwoorrmmmmm.
Mom was tall, broad in the shoulders; elegant in her manner and always well dressed, within her means. She had a presence that never went unnoticed, even as she aged.

BUTTERWORTH, Janet Amy Lee - When it’s said that heaven receives an angel, on Friday, March 26, heaven received the most beautiful, loving and sweetest angel ever…Janet.
Janet’s journey began on April 8, 1956 in Toronto.
Janet was born to Shirley and Jack Butterworth.
It was not long after that, that Janet was considered a special baby with special needs and would require unconditional love for the rest of her life.
Her mom and dad instantly started working with her. They taught Janet to talk, laugh, walk and love.

She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Mary (Tony), adored grandchildren Michael, Jessica, and Vanessa, Loving sister Angela (the late Carmine), Brother-in-law Guiseppe (Maria), Sister-in-laws Lucia (the late Filippo) and Maria (the late Guiseppe) and her two animal companions Dolce and Mister.
Donata joins her beloved husband Benito and treasured son Nicola, her siblings Andrea (Lucia), Caterina (Leonardo) and Carmela (Filippo).
Donata was a woman of grace.

REDOBLADO, Antonio 'Tony' - Passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2021 with his loving family by his side.
He was a devoted husband, a father to two children and a son-in-law, a grandfather to two grandchildren, a brother to twelve siblings, an uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to many in thecommunity.
Antonio was the second youngest of thirteen siblings. He was born and raised in the Philippines where he completed his academic studies and worked before migrating to Canada in 1973.
He settled in Toronto where he married his wife and raised a family.

ACTON, Robert (Bob) Gideon - July 12, 1934 - March 26, 2021
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Acton, on March 26, 2021, at Michael Garron Hospital.
Bob is survived by his wife Elayne, and his children Robert (Andrea) and LeeAnn, and beloved granddaughter, Audrey Jude. A proud, lifelong Beacher, Bob attended Malvern Collegiate and then Danforth Tech.
He played football for the Balmy Beach Club, which was the farm team for the Toronto Argos in the 1950's, and was drafted by the Toronto Argos, and then to the Ottawa Roughriders. After his football career ended, Bob worked for the City of Toronto as a draftsman before forging a path as a business executive in the construction industry where he served as President for Canadian Patent Scaffolding for over twenty-five years.

WILKINS, John - John Wilkins died peacefully on March 26, 2021 after suffering a sudden massive stroke.
Anyone who knew him, knew this is the way he wanted to go!
His 70 years of life were full.
He was born in Edmonton, London, UK and began working in a hotel at age 16.
After a brief stint catering garden parties at "Buck House," he moved into management and soon became an area manager for EMI Records restaurants, managing 14 restaurants in Central London.
At age 27, he and his wife moved to Toronto and opened Peppercorns at Sheppard and Yonge.

WOOD, William 'Bill" - At 91 years of age, passed away peacefully, on March 26, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill is described as someone who was larger than life and lived life his way, right to the end.
Born in County Durham, England, Bill was proud of his English heritage.
Conscripted as a Bevin Boy to work in the coal mines at the age of 18 to support the war effort, Bill was an entrepreneur at heart.
While working in the coal mines, he also started his businesses that included window washing, making and selling candy apples and more. After seven years in the coal mines, Bill immigrated to Canada in 1955, where he met his lifetime dancing partner and beloved wife, Agnes (deceased), in Toronto.

86 years, a life well lived and to the fullest. Born on the kitchen table of the family home in Schomberg in the Spring of 1935. Raised a farmer, retired from a storied career as a school teacher. Avid outdoorsman, coach, mentor and friend to all he met.

RUCCHETTO, Carlo - Carlo Rucchetto was born on October 20th, 1961 and passed away Thursday March 25th, 2021.
Carlo was a wonderful man who was deeply loved and cherished by close family and members of his community. Carlo was the most generous and kind man with an infectious laugh and an eternal smile.
Carlo was suddenly diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and very quickly lost his life.

NYKOLAYCHUK, Betty Joan - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Joan Nykolaychuk at age 84 on March 25, 2021.
Betty was able to spend her last weeks at home with friends and family around her and died peacefully knowing she will be with Christ. Betty had a strong Christian faith and her church was her second home. Betty was an elder at the church and actively took part in the choir and many bible study groups.
She taught with the Etobicoke School Board for 30 years and after retirement worked for a number of years in Pakistan teaching Christian studies.
