SMALLEY, Phillip John 'Phil' - (1946 - 2021) - Of Mount Albert, passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on March 27, 2021 after a brave battle with many complex health issues.
Beloved husband to Beth (Mitchell), his true partner in life who has lovingly cared for him for 53 years. Proud father of Michael (Kelly) and Jennifer (Randy).
Very special Papa to Mitchell, McKenna and Kellen. Son of the late George and late Gladys Smalley. Brother of late Anne (late Morley), Marietta (late Ken), Jim (Donna) and Pat (Rick). Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
For over 50 years, Phil built and grew his family farming businesses, harvesting and processing millions of potatoes every season for Smalley’s Produce. Phil worked side by side with his father George, son Michael and later with his grandsons Mitchell and Kellen. He loved getting on the land in the spring and was relieved when the last potato was harvested each fall.

BANTAS, Demetrios - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Demetrios Bantas on Saturday March 27, 2021 at the age of 92.
Born on January 30, 1929 in Greece, on his beloved island of Lesbos, in the village of Molyvos to Panagiotti Bantas and Evridike Sarantinelis Bantas. He was the youngest of 3 children and was predeceased by his parents, as well as by his brother Stratos and sister Amfiklia.
Demetrios’ memory will live on in the hearts of his family, his wife of 62 years Fotini, his children John and Eva (Ilias), his grandchildren Maria (Jason) and Joanna (Christos) and his great-grandchildren Theodore, Adrienos and Elias.

Born in Montreal, Doris came to Toronto in the 1980’s. She was a direct, down-to-earth individual who was a loyal friend. Doris was a life-long learner, with many interests. She was an artistic individual who enjoyed art, concerts and the ballet.

BROWN, Wilfred Douglas Leroy - It is with profound sadness that the family of Wilfred Douglas Leroy Brown announces his sudden passing on March 27, 2021 at the age of 76.
He was predeceased by his loving and caring wife Patricia Brown. He is survived by his son, David and his wife Kim.
Predeceased by his dear parents, Wilfred and Gilles of Nova Scotia.
Born April 20, 1944 and raised in New Salem, Nova Scotia. Wilfred worked as a manager in Hospitality Services. He loved music, dancing, cooking and was always the life of the party. His greatest accomplishment was becoming ordained as a minister in his later years.

DA SILVA, Gil Bulhoes - Born August 22, 1939 in Lomba da Maia, S. Miguel and passed away on March 27, 2021 to join his beloved wife Maria Jose Da Silva.
They are together again, now in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Although his profession was to build houses and communities, the most important foundation he laid down was in his children.

MONTINI, Fernando - It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we mourn the loss of Fernando who passed away on March 27, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
He will be forever missed by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Salmina 'Maria', his beloved daughters Antonella and Sandra (Joe) and his cherished granddaughters Alessia and Milania.
Fernando enjoyed being a proud and adoring father and grandfather.
He cherished sharing a good meal surrounded by his family and friends. He loved sharing his homemade wine, fruits and vegetables from his garden in which he took great pride.

Luba was born in Luck, Ukraine, (formerly Poland), she had 3 siblings and was the longest living in her family.
She was taken to Germany in 1942 where she lived with 100 girls and worked for 7 years.
She met her husband and married in 1947 then in 1949 they moved to Brasil.
In Curitiba she had a daughter Leocadia in 1965 the family moved to Canada and were sponsored by friends Nina and Bronislaw Dalecki.

RODAS, Justino - Passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 27, 2021 after valiantly battling Parkinson's disease for 21 years.
Justino leaves behind his devoted wife Sonia, loving children Mark Joseph (Stacey), Rachelle Nina (Bertrand), and Katherine Marie (Eric).
Lolo of Marissa Lily, Tristan Thomas and Lochlan Julian.
Justino was a kind and compassionate man.
An honoured member of the Knights of Columbus of the 4th degree, Sir Knight Justino dedicated his life to his faith and service to the community.
He enjoyed traveling, singing, drawing and flying rc helicopters.

ALBOINO, Alida - It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the sudden passing of Alida Alboino.
Beloved wife of 47 years to Fabrizio.
She fought long, and she fought hard to stay with all of us for as long as she could, but ultimately, God called her home to take her final rest.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Andrea (Patrick) and Lori, as well as her granddaughters, Leila, Mya and Ava who brought her so much joy.
She will be dearly missed by her brother Velio and sister in-law Annina and niece Cristina and nephew Danny (Melissa), as well as brother in-law Tony and sister in-law Liliana, niece Lorena (Bob) and nephew Mark (Barbara).

KILLEY, Allan Christian P. Eng, - Allan passed away peacefully, at the age of 97, at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre and is at rest with his wife Margaret (Marmo), parents Bert and Edie and brother Bob.
Kind, supportive and patient, he was Dad (Chris, Sue, Randy, and Nancy), Grandpa (Sean, Kiersten, Laura and Dave), Uncle Allan, and most recently, Great-Grandpa (Hayes).
Born in Winnipeg, Dad spent many years in Scarborough but still drove like he was on a prairie road.
He could tack upwind, throw a curling rock, loved walking and was always up for an outing with his grandkids. He was old enough to know what a slide rule was and could still use it.
He always was an excellent friend to dogs, accidently dropping food from the table.
Dakota was undoubtedly first in line to welcome him to Heaven, hoping he brought an ice cream cone, Jasper just behind, expecting him to throw a stick, Bill just behind them.

KEHOE, Ruth Martha (Morehouse) - Ruth slipped quietly and gracefully out of the world on March 27, 2021.
Born into the still expanding Morehouse family in Port Arthur, Ontario on October 26, 1927, Ruth was a true renaissance woman.
A gifted student both academically and athletically, she chose nursing as her vocation. As a young woman her nursing career took her many places and she enjoyed the challenge and adventure of it all.

ZALAR, Henrik (Henry) Jacob - It is with great sadness that Henry's family announce his sudden passing, on March 27, 2021.
Henry was born in Toronto, on May 20, 1954, to Jakob and Antonija Zalar, of Slovenia.
He was very close with his father and proudly helped his parents with their business – Slovenija Meat and Delicatessen, which they established in 1958.
Henry later took over the business with his wife, Elena, who he met by chance on a trip to Florida in 1980, and they have been inseparable ever since.
Together, they enjoyed exploring Ontario and going on nature walks, visiting art galleries, and travelling.
