BATTERBURY, Doreen Evelyn May (nee BRAYSHAW) - Passed away quietly with family at her side on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 11:45 a.m. at the Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, Ontario.
She leaves behind her Husband Jack Batterbury, Son Neil, Daughter Norene and Husband John, Grandchildren Katrina, Megan and Jennifer.
Son Ian and Wife Kate, Grandchildren Sam, Julie, Jordan and Matthew. Her over 2 year battle with cancer showed her courage in the face of pain and the growing cancer disease.
She faced life with a positive never give up attitude which will sustain the people she knew, loved and who loved her.
Doreen is predeceased by her parents Rowland and Ethel Brayshaw and her brothers Donald and David.
The family thanks all the friends who have helped and have spread good wishes.
They are appreciated. Doreen is resting at the W. John Thomas Funeral Home, Alliston, Ontario. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 12 p.m. funeral services at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Matthews House Hospice.
