Raftis WilfredRAFTIS, Wilfred Francis "Frank"  - Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, December 8, 2018… just shy of his 64th year, after a courageous battle with P.S.P. disease.

Frank had been a proud special needs teacher in England for the past 20 years.

Frank is the loving and proud father of Margaret and Katherine from Redhill, England.

Survived and remembered by his siblings and their spouses, in Canada: Sister Paula Maria, Carmelite D.C.J., Michael, deceased (Theresa), Patrick (Eliana), Ernie (Livia Keidan), Anna Marie (Bill Gammon, deceased), Mary, Ed (Michelle), Mark and Paul.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alma (Heffernan) Raftis. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and England. Many relatives and friends on both sides of the Ocean will fondly remember him.

Family and friends will be received at Adams Funeral Home, Barrie, on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 3-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m.  A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie, Ontario.

A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held in the Spring along with the interment in Arthur, Ontario.

The family would like to extend their heart-felt gratitude to all the staff at Barrie Manor Retirement Community and Hospice Simcoe for their excellent care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Camp Ozanam of St. Vincent de Paul Society of Toronto. With broken hearts we say goodbye. Peace.
