Caruk PaulCARUK, Paul - It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Caruk on November 26, 2020 in his ninety-ninth year with his son Allan at his bedside.

Beloved husband for 56 years of the late Ann Caruk, adoring father to Joyce O’Grady (Bernie), Connie Ivany (Larry), Janet Volasko (the late John Volasko) (Ian Royce), Sharon Caruk (Ray Johnson), and Allan Caruk (Jennifer).

Proud grandfather to Adam, Andrea, Gillian, Cameron, Matthew, Jonah, Justin, and Chloe and his four great grandchildren; Lucas, Madalyn, Audrey and Eliana. He also had numerous nieces, and nephews who adored him.

Paul was born on the prairies in Pine River, Manitoba on October 23, 1922 to John and Anne Caruk. He moved to Toronto after serving in World War II to join his sister Mary and brothers Edward, and Tony to create a new life, and that he did. Upon his death, Paul was the last surviving sibling of six.

He proudly worked for years at Canteen of Canada as a mechanic fixing vending machines while nourishing many lifelong friendships.

Weekly gatherings filled with great food and laughter were the social hallmark of life for their extended family. Their cottage in the Kawarthas was the family oasis which was and is still filled with many warm memories for all who spent time there with them.

Paul was lovingly cared for by the nurses and doctors at Sunnybrook Hospital, Veterans Wing for the last four years.

Paul was a special man who possessed the rare ability to touch so many with his kindness, his compassion, and his caring ... He Loved and He was Loved.
