Kuehn BerndKUEHN, Bernd Percy  -  Bernd Percy Kuehn passed away peacefully in Needham, Massachusetts, on December 24, 2020.

Cherished husband of Barbara Anita Kuehn (née Kemp) who predeceased him in 2015, and devoted brother to Gisela Felicitas Edwards, Bernie was born in Riga, Latvia, on February 13, 1928.

At the start of World War II in 1939, his family was relocated to German-occupied Poland.

He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and completed the education interrupted by war at the University of Western Ontario, receiving a degree in Business Administration in 1953.

He joined IBM upon graduation and worked there for 34 years, becoming a senior executive with IBM Canada before moving to the U.S.in 1975 as Vice President Americas/Far East at IBM World Trade Corporation.

Enthusiastic skier, competitive tennis player and amateur gardener, Bernie's greatest passion and interest in life was his family, especially his beloved Barbara, his two daughters: Catherine Elizabeth Kuehn Price (Malcolm) and Stephanie Louise Kuehn Vitzthum von Eckstaedt (Hans); and five grandchildren: Malachi and Camille Price and Hans, Klaus and Sophie Vitzthum von Eckstaedt.

Private services will be held at a later date. "Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be." - Grandma Moses.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Bernd Kuehn to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
