Stacey DorothySTACEY, Dorothy Lillian - Our dearest Aunt Do passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the age of 101.

Dorothy will always be remembered for her unwavering loyalty to her family, and for being there whenever she was needed, always looking dignified and classy in her signature glasses.

Born in Toronto of father Harry Stacey and mother Alice (nee Tuck), Dorothy was the devoted younger sister to older brothers Jack, Bob, and Norman.

During her professional career, Dorothy played an administrative role in the medical offices of Dr. James Murray. In an age before computer databases and digital health records, Dorothy expertly typed up and managed all the clinic’s information and greeted all its patients at the front desk for over 30 years.

As an aunt (and great-aunt, and great-great-aunt), “Auntie Do” was a cherished part of our loving family, serving a role more similar to a mother, grandmother or great-grandmother. Although she had no children herself, she leaves behind her beloved nephew Stephen, his wife Stella, great-nieces and nephews Suzanne, Shelley (Pall), Steve (Lisa), and great-great-nieces and nephews Fisher, Sonny, Sasha, Maggie and Mia.

Dorothy is also survived by her niece Marcia Degray (Jim) of Las Vegas, Nevada, along with their daughter Theresa Regina, her children Ashlee, Anthony and Ava, and Dorothy’s great-great-nephew Ripp.

Dorothy will be buried alongside her cherished mother Alice “Nana” Stacey.

The family wishes to extend its many thanks to the dedicated staff at Donway Place, especially Tess, Opel and her friend Ivy Forbs.

Due to the COVID-19 protocol, a private service will be held.
