PERSAUD, Daby - (1936 - 2021) - With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the departure of Mr. Daby Persaud from this life on January 22, 2021 in Toronto, Canada.
Daby Persaud was born on July 20th, 1936 in Berbice, Guyana, son of Pandit Mahase Singh and Champawattie Persaud.
Having lost his mother at a very young age, he was raised by his father and the extended Persaud family. His gratitude is reflected in the 40+ years of service to Toolsie Persaud Ltd. where he effectively developed the Quarrying Operations, Providence Industries Ltd. and Guyana Thermoplastics Ltd. as Executive Director. He was ably mentored by the late Toolsie & David Persaud.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bemattie Persaud. His eldest son Deoraj. Father-in-law of Valini, Grandfather of Aneil & Anjali; Second son, Danny, father-in-law of Sally, grandfather of Chris, Amanda & Kevin and great grandfather to Avana; Third son Ravi, father-in-law of Nan, grandfather of Anand; Eldest daughter, Sandra, father-in-law of Frankie, grandfather of Sharon, Cindy & Alyssa; Fourth son Sunil and Youngest daughter Mala, father-in-law of Dave, grandfather of Rachel, Dylan & Ashley.
Mr. Daby Persaud was an honest and caring man and a beacon of humbleness and integrity. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and whose life he touched.
Arrangements entrusted with Ogden funeral home, Scarborough. The funeral of Mr. Persaud will be held on January 26, 2021 at 2:30pm EST in Toronto, Canada.

Ceremony will be performed according to Vedic Hindu rites.
