She was a loving mother to nine children – John, Cheryl, Aubrey, Ronald, Paul, Karen and sons who left the earth too soon Patrick, James and Walter.

Her love extended to her children who were joined by marriage Jennifer, Butch, Donna, Ann, Sandra, Monica and our departed Yvette and Tony.

Rita was a woman of many talents. She transformed the ordinary to extraordinary through her love of sewing and crafts. She was known as a Mom who extended her home, her kitchen and her heart to many.

She spent much of her life in her homeland of Guyana as professional seamstress and made Canada her second home at the age of 44.

She brought with her all of her traditions, her amazing culinary skills, strong work ethic and values which she instilled in her children and their children. Her faith in God could move mountains.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A special thanks to all for your support and kind words through this very challenging time.

Let this always be a reminder to count every day as a blessing from above.

Service will be held on March 17th, 2021.
