ZOURBANOS, Jean (Ioannis) - With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of Jean peacefully at the Hellenic Home for the Aged on March 14, 2021 at the age of 101.
Jean was loved and cherished by his wife, Kiki for 62 loving years, his son Dennis, his daughter-in-law Cathy, his grandchildren John and Nicholas, and his remaining siblings, Spiro(Litsa), Eleni and Irene.
Jean immigrated to Canada from Zakynthos, Greece in 1953. He was a successful entrepreneur running a restaurant and catering business and later operating a taxi business.
He was a kind, generous, God-loving man who loved to entertain us by singing and chanting hymns every day. He lifted our spirits with his positive attitude for life, he will be missed by all of us who knew him.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at the Hellenic Home for the Aged who looked after him.
A private service will be held at 10am on Wednesday March 17, 2021. A celebration of Jean's life will be held at a later date when all can attend to celebrate him.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Hellenic Home for the Aged would be very much appreciated.
