Skene DonaldSKENE, Donald Christopher   - 1943 - 2021 Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14.

A humble and gentle man of many talents and interests, mostly self-taught, Chris enjoyed a rich and varied career in the music, recording and broadcast industries.

As an accomplished guitarist, he was sought after by other well known musicians.

From having his own jingle company to voicing ads for Heineken and many other international brands, hosting a radio show in Thunder Bay to reading the World at Six on CBC Radio, engineering albums for many top Canadian artists including Anne Murray and Gordon Lightfoot to mixing the first Imax movie, Chris did it all with pace, grace and aplomb.

These attributes served him well as a driving instructor for many years with the BMW Car Club of Canada. He was happiest at the limit going around corner five at Mosport Park racetrack in his vintage BMW.

In recent years, a decline in health slowed his pace, maybe not quite enough for some of his mother's friends who he would kindly shuttle to appointments.

Chris will be fondly remembered by his brothers Tim, Jerry (Sally), Paul (Christine), as well as his cousins, nieces and nephews, and all those who had the pleasure of working or spending time with him.

The family would like to thank the team at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, the staff of the Montfort Hospital, and especially Champlain LHIN for their care and dedication.

"Keep the shiny side up".
