RICE, Jean (Izzard) - Peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on May 18, 2021 in her 100th year.
Wife of the late A. Churchill Rice. Mother to Graeme. Aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her siblings Weldon, Gordon, Mildred, Ronald, Aubrey, Gloria, Jack, and Patricia.
Born in Saint John N.B., she moved to Toronto in 1945 and worked for several years at Queen’s Park.
She was a loving mother, a dedicated worker, and a good friend to many.
She was a selfless volunteer at St. Leonard’s church for 70 years.
Her son wishes to extend his appreciation to the staff at The Teddington Retirement Home.
A memorial service is tentatively planned for October 20, 2021 at St. Leonard’s Church, 25 Wanless Ave., which would have been her 100th birthday.
