WONG, William   - April 9, 1916 - May 14, 2021

William (Bill) Wong passed away peacefully, joining his much loved wife Ella, once again.

Bill inspired all who met him by how he lived his 105 year life. He was happy, enjoyed each day, was independent and always positive.

When asked about any long life advice, his guiding principal was "Treat others the way you want to be treated – be kind."

Bill will be missed by daughter Marilynn, son Bill, Jr, daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren Stephanie, Kaitlyn (husband Jake) and William, great-grandchildren Grace, Nathan, Jacob and Hannah plus many nieces and nephews in Bill's extended family.

Bill shared a long life with his sister Mary (101 in September), sister-in-law Mabel (111 this July) and brother-in-law Leonard (98 this December). With his business partner Henry Hong, Bill ran a fruit market at 1272 Bloor St., where he and Ella raised Marilynn and Bill Jr.

They later moved to Rhode Island, USA and Bill continued in the food services industry until retirement. Bill spent the last 17 years of his life in Toronto after the passing of Ella.

Bill was blessed with great health until his last year. The family is grateful for the incredible health care people who provided services to Bill in the hospital, at home and in the final weeks of home palliative care.

Bill's life will be honoured in a Celebration of life at a later date.
