RUSSELL, May Teresa (Young) - November 13, 1940 – May 26, 2021 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of May Teresa Russell, age 80, on May 26, 2021 at Markham Stouffville Hospital, Markham, Ontario.
May was born in Brae, Prince Edward Island to the late John and Josephine (nee Maddix) Young.
The youngest of twelve children, she is predeceased by brothers and sisters: Leo (Ann), Harry (Daisy), Rita, Clarence (Kay), Gerald, Mildred, Pope (Dolly), George (Florence), Joseph and James. Survived by sister Pearl (Gerald McAllar).
May raised her family in Toronto, Ontario; moved to Moncton, New Brunswick in 1983; and in order to be closer to her family recently settled in Markham, Ontario.
Beloved wife of Bob for 61 years, loving mother to the late Dianne, and survived by daughters Joanne (Doug Bawtinheimer) and Tracey (Stephen Kiproff). Cherished grandmother of Eric and Evan Bawtinheimer; Patrick and Nicholas Kiproff. Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews.
May will be remembered for her love and devotion to her entire family. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warm smile, grace and kindness.
In recognition of the compassionate care over the past four years provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital, memorial donations may be made to MSH Foundation (mshf.on.ca) or a charity of your choice.
Interment at Markham, Ontario at a later date.
