Stranges GuiliettaSTRANGES, Giulietta (Julie) Rosa   - Giulietta ("Julie") Rosa Stranges, at the age of 98, peacefully, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, in Grimsby, after a long illness.

Giulietta was the youngest child of the late Rocco and Maria Stranges.

All her siblings are deceased: beloved sister of Maddalena (George) Shuker and Pasqualino (Blanche) Strange; half-sister of Benoit Strange (with whom she grew up) and of Giuseppe and Antonio Esposito, of Italy.

She leaves behind her grieving niece and goddaughter, Gloria (Robert) Clothier, as well as her other godchild (and grandnephew), Stephen Clothier, all of Grimsby.

Dear aunt of Judy Bandak, of Sarnia; grandaunt of Sherry Payne and Brenda Robinson, both of Sarnia, and Christopher Bandak, of Kleinburg. In addition to many great-grandnephews and nieces (notably, Madeline and George Bandak), she had numerous cousins in Ontario, Italy, and Australia.

Juliet was born on January 31, 1923 in South Porcupine, in Northern Ontario, from which she moved with her family to Kirkland Lake. Then, in 1954, she moved to Toronto, where she lived until 1985; finally, after living in Norland for 23 years, she moved in with her niece and caregiver, Gloria.

She will be greatly missed by her remaining family.

In accordance with her wishes, no Funeral Mass or Celebration of Life will be held; her ashes will be interred at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, where a private ceremony (for the immediate family only) will take place at a later date.

The family owes a tremendous debt of thanks to the staff at Kilean Lodge, in Grimsby, for their dedication to their patient and their kindness and empathy to her family.
