BUTLER, Viola  -  February 14, 1916 - September 26, 2021

The matriarch of the Myers' clan has died.

Viola, the youngest of the 11 children of Isaac and Harriet Myers of Vineland, was 105.

She was predeceased by her five sisters Marie, Florence, Irene, Marguerite and Della and by her five brothers Bill, Ivan, Leo, Roy and Johnny and was always the doting aunt of her many nieces and nephews.

She kept track of all their birthdays and had the photo of her latest great-great-great-niece on her fridge when she died.

Viola met the love of her life on the tennis court in 1938. She and Len (2008) spent 69 wonderful years together travelling the world, visiting more than 50 countries.

She adored her children even when they hit their seventies and more. Keith (Cynthia) resides in Ottawa, Eleanor (Fred McMullin) in Oakville and Linda in Richmond Hill.

Her grandchildren, Katie and Sam (Erica Bird), brought her much joy as did their children Ansel (Bridget), Sara, Fiona, Rhiannon, Evan and Daphne.

Viola was an active member of the United Church all her life and for forty years volunteered in the Oakville and North York Hospitals.

She was an animal lover, a pie maker extraordinaire, a knitter of a thousand baby sweaters and a generous, positive, loving, very special woman.

She was our sunshine. In her memory donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation, would be welcomed.

A private family graveside service has been held.
