GERVAIS, Lionel Theodore - after a short illness, passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Mary Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Lionel, in his 95th year, was born in Hearst, Ontario on December 22, 1923.
Cherished husband of the late Rachelle (nee Gosselin 2008).
Loving father of Marcelle (Padgett) Miller and Gisele (David) Found.
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jayson, Stewart and Natalie Faucher and great grandfather of Madison, Logan, Reese and Riley.
Dear brother of the late Berengere Petty.
Lionel was known as the fiddling barber for over 50 years in Lindsay and later in life, he enjoyed wire puzzle making and concrete animal sculpting, many of which are seen throughout the area.
In keeping with Lionel's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill St., Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Saturday, March 31 from 12:00 noon until time of Funeral Mass in the chapel at 1:00 P.M. Entombment of cremated remains at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lindsay.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Lionel, for those who wish to place a donation may do so to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes or the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes.
