ACTON, Marion Winnifred “Winnie” - (August 13, 1928 – December 2, 2019)
Winnie passed peacefully in her sleep at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Monday, December 2, 2019 in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of the late Harvey for over 52 years.
Loving and devoted mother of Brooke (Christine), Brian (Debbie), Bonnie (Floyd) and Barry (Lynda).
Treasured grandma of Elizabeth (Adam), Rebecca (Bjorn), Jeremy (Annie), Jeff (Stephanie) and great- grandma of Aiden, Carly, Ellen, Erich, Kurt, AJ and Nate. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Winnie was an avid curler, who played both competitively and recreationally, and was also instrumental in founding the Uxbridge Curling Club. She will be remembered as an incredibly compassionate person who loved her family dearly.
A private family service was held at Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, after which Winnie was laid to rest with Harvey in the Uxbridge Cemetery.
A Celebration of Winnie’s life will be held at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre, 75 Marietta Street, Uxbridge on Sunday, December 8th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 3:00 p.m.
If desired, donations in memory of Winnie may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
